Samsung Galaxy S9 is indeed the newest addition to Samsung Galaxy family. This Android smartphone has got the attention of many users and is now available for pre-booking. Samsung Galaxy S9 is indeed an upgrade of Galaxy S8 with an updated operating system, processor, design, and camera.
Galaxy S9 is set to release at MWC 2018 as one of the first flagship phones of 2018. With all big companies failing to deliver a new flagship phone, all eyes will be on Samsung Galaxy S9 as it gets released.
We have done a full review and research on Samsung Galaxy S9 and will discuss its specifications and features briefly.
So without further ado, let’s have a look at some specs and features of Samsung Galaxy S9 :
Design and Build :
Talking about design, Samsung Galaxy S9 is very much identical to its ancestor, i.e., Samsung Galaxy S8.
With an almost identical design, it is pretty hard to believe which one is S9 and which one is S8. The bezels above and below are a little smaller, but it is pretty evident as Samsung S8 has already tiny bezels.
Galaxy S9 is little shorter than S8 but it is heavy(163g) and thick(8.5mm) as compared to its predecessor.
The Screen :
The screen is wide and has a full HD resolution. The display in S9 is same as that of S8 (5.8″) and if you want a bigger display go for S9+ as it has got 6.8″ display.
Samsung Galaxy S9 has a curved infinity display with an 18:5:9 aspect ratio, Quad HD+ resolution, and super AMOLED technology.
Processor, Memory, and Storage :
As we all know that with a new flagship, there is a new processor chip and Samsung has powered the new S9 with Exynos 8910 chip, with 1.7Ghz octa-core processor featuring Snapdragon 845.
The memory is same as that of Samsung galaxy S8, i.e., 4Gb ram and 64 Gb storage which is quite enough. But, if you want more capacity, it also has a 256gb variant and a micro SD card slot which can support up to 512gb of a memory card.

Connectivity and Audio :
There is nothing much Samsung can do further in connectivity and audio of the new Samsung galaxy S9.
Like S8, galaxy S9 also has 11ac dual Wi-fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS and USB-C port. The headphone port is also available in new Samsung Galaxy S9.
Samsung has improved the speakers in its new flagship smartphone. Speakers are now based on stereo system present on the down bottom side.
FingerPrint and Iris Scanner :
The fingerprint scanner is moved to a more convenient way in new Samsung galaxy S9 as it is just below the camera. The fingerprint scanner in S9 is entirely accurate(not the fastest one) but still it is fast and reliable as compared to other smartphones.
The Iris scanner is not as good as the S8, but it is without a notch like in iPhone X. More precisely, the fingerprint and Iris Scanner works quite well but is not up to the mark with its rivals.
Camera :
Samsung Galaxy S9 comes with an improved camera experience, and Samsung has improved well in this field over the past few years.
The primary camera is 12 MP with an aperture of f/1.5 to f/2.4 which features geo-tagging, phase detection 4K video experience, and auto HDR panorama.
The front camera comprises 8MP with full autofocus, 1440p HD video experience, and Auto HDR.
Battery Life :
Samsung is pretty bad at improving battery life in its smartphones, and same is the case with Samsung galaxy S9. The battery is only 3000maH which is pretty less for a flagship smartphone. Still, it manages to work for about 4 hours with internet browsing and multi-tasking.
Battery life is a considerable drawback of Samsung galaxy S9.
Samsung Galaxy S9 priced at about 700 dollars is an excellent choice for people who want to enjoy high performance and good camera experience. However, the battery life is still a significant aspect to take care of. Other than that, it is the best flagship mobile phone of 2018.
